As a wedding photographer, Redhouse Barn is always such a pleasure to work at. It boasts a super friendly team, multi award winning facilities, incredible food courtesy of Morgans Catering, and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Being a fairly small venue, the rooms are spacious but all nicely close together so, even if you have a larger guestlist, everyone feels very close by and there are no endless walks to get to the best wedding photography spots! In fact, the private gardens are right behind the ceremony barn and they’re the perfect place for your family and group photographs as well as some beautiful lakeside couple photos.
The wedding team at Redhouse Barn really know their stuff and they’ll guide you through everything so well. Their onsite master of ceremonies is a refreshing welcome with his super organised but lighthearted manner. Plus, I’ve had some of the best food I’ve ever eaten here, so it’s a definite shortlist for any foodie couples!
The Ceremony
Floor to ceiling sliding doors in the redbrick barn provide beautiful backdrops of the gardens on one side and the front courtyard on the other. On warm days with the doors open, its like having your wedding in the garden itself!
As a wedding photographer, I love the central layout that they offer for this barn due to the amazing natural light from the huge windows! However the traditional layout will still get you some beautiful ceremony photographs.
The Wedding Breakfast
Redhouse Barn has one of the most impressive looking wedding breakfast rooms I think I’ve ever seen! It’s always beautifully set up and decorated no matter what colour scheme or theme you opt for, and the horseshoe top table set against the floor to ceiling windows is such a great idea.
The eye catching acrylic chairs create a great balance between the traditional rustic barn feel and a more contemporary vibe – best of both worlds!
I’ve already said this, but the food here is insanely good! Morgans catering have won so many awards I’ve lost count, and rightly so!

A wedding photographer’s paradise – lots of beautiful spots for photographs without the long walk to get there!
Whether you’re dreaming of romantic photos in the courtyard, strolling through the lakeside private gardens, or a beautiful sunset, you’ll get it all here. The venue is entirely exclusive use so you’ll have the grounds all to yourself all day and evening.
