Hey there, I'm Kate
A Redhouse Barn Wedding
I had the absolute pleasure of capturing some wonderful moments at this beautiful wedding in Stoke Prior. There were lots of spring pastels in the flowers and decorations which, combined with a lovely down to earth couple and the rustic charm of the beautiful Redhouse Barn, made it a lovely wedding day to be a part of.
The Bridal Party
The bridal party were upstairs in Redhouse Barn’s beautiful getting ready room when I arrived. I got to know the lovely ladies while taking natural shots of them getting ready.
The bride looked beautiful in her wedding dress, which had the most amazing lace and beading detail on the back. She’d also opted for some super pretty white wedding trainers (much comfier than heels!).
A special mention to the two mums, rocking outfits that perfectly complemented the pastel pink color theme and donning matching bolero jackets to complete their looks. Mum goals!
Guest Arrival
The tulips were in full bloom as the guests arrived, with the groomsmen on hand to welcome everyone inside.
The Groom & Groomsmen
The groom looked went ‘wedding smart casual’ in a navy blue suit paired with grey trainers. This perfectly suited his personality and that of the wedding day. As guests chatted and mingled, we spent time in the gardens helping with buttonholes and getting some relaxed photos.
How cute are the two adorable mini groomsmen here in their waistcoats?
The Barn Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the gorgeous Red Brick Barn. The bridal party made their entrance, with bridesmaids in navy dresses and the pageboys looking super cute in their little grey waistcoats.
The bride made her entrance, at which point the groom (who said he wasn’t going to cry) suddenly got a little teary. We love an emotional groom and take much delight in making sure we capture the teary moments on camera!
Confetti & Drinks Reception
After the “I dos” were exchanged and the register signed, we made our way outside to the front of the barn. Confetti was thrown (with the kids getting delightfully covered in it), and then it was time for the fun to really begin.
With a drinks reception featuring canapés, garden games, and even a bit of football, the couple and their guests enjoyed the sunshine and the lovely grounds.
Photos In The Gardens
No wedding at Redhouse Barn would be complete without taking advantage of the picturesque gardens.
After a big group photo and a handful of family shots, I took the couple on a short walk through the gardens and we got some great shots by the water.
The Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast room looked fab. The tables were decorated with flowers and jam jar centerpieces and they had a naked cake topped with summer berries and flowers – beautiful!
The bride and groom were announced in to lots of applause, before they stood together to deliver a shared speech and give out gifts. I loved this idea – teamwork!
April Sunset
After the meal, we ventured back to the gardens and captured some atmospheric sunset photos. This seemed a fitting end to a perfect day.
Evening Fun & Dancing
The celebrations didn’t stop there. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a giant Scalextric track which was set up in the ceremony barn. The kids (and ok, me too) thought this was great fun!
The dancefloor looked amazing under the spotlights, with twinkling love letters and the couples’ names projected onto the walls by the DJ, which looked so lovely during the first dance.
