Introduction
This luxury summer wedding at Redhouse Barn was so beautiful, with pink and gold colours adding to the natural beauty of this exclusive use wedding venue. The couple had booked two of us to photograph their day, so we didn’t miss any of those all important moments.
Getting Ready
As I stepped into the room where the bride was getting ready, I immediately got to work photographing all the gorgeous little details. Gorgeous luxury jewellery, shimmering gold shoes and a stunning dress set the stage for a day filled with exquisite details.
The bride’s two flower girls, including her adorable daughter, were so excited and happy to pose for some cute photos.
The soft September light streamed in through the skylights as the ladies had their makeup done and got into their dresses.
The Groomsmen Arrive
Meanwhile, outside, the groom and his groomsmen were arriving. I couldn’t resist snapping some natural photos of them as they had their buttonholes put on and shared some laughs together.
The Ceremony in the Barn
Guests were seated and the bridal party made their entrance. I love the moment when the bride and her Dad appear in the doorway at this venue. It’s so atmospheric and beautiful and makes for some amazing ceremony photographs.
The ceremony room was arranged so that couple exchanged vows next to the floor to ceiling windows, with their guests seated on both sides of them. I love this set up for photographs, as the natural light hits the couple perfectly throughout the ceremony.
Drinks Reception
The drinks reception in the gardens was accompanied by the beautiful sounds of a string quartet, as guests mingled and enjoyed garden games. We discreetly captured lots of lovely candid moments.
Group Photos in the Private Gardens
We moved into the private gardens for group photos, and the relaxed atmosphere was perfect for capturing genuine smiles and natural moments.
Afterwards, we set up a little couple photo session at the front of the barn, framed by the delicate white summer flowers.
Pinks & Golds – Luxurious Decor
The wedding breakfast room looked luxurious, decorated in pinks and golds, with a classic wedding cake taking centre stage.
The couple’s entrance was met with cheers and applause, setting the tone for a fun evening.
There were seven heartfelt speeches, including one from the bride herself, and we made sure to capture every emotional moment – the laughs, the tears and of course the embarassed groom during the best man’s speech!
Evening Couple Photos
We ventured outside once more for some couple photos, getting creative with lighting to overcome the fading sunlight and to capture the beauty of the gardens at dusk.
We finished with some cute family photos of the bride, groom and their daughter.
Evening Fun on the Dancefloor
As the night unfolded, guests watched as the couple cut their wedding cake and enjoyed their first dance. The dancefloor was alive with energy and excitement all night, with guests of all ages joining in and dancing the night away.
