A Classic September Wedding at Arley House & Gardens

02/09/2021

Beautiful Colours

This classic September wedding at Arley House and Gardens was so wonderfully vibrant. On arrival I was met with stunning red and leafy floral displays made by the bride’s Aunt. There were lots of little personal touches and details to photograph too.

The Ladies

The couple were very down to earth and relaxed. We spent the morning getting to know everyone and taking natural photos while the ladies got their hair and makeup done.

The Guys

The groom was getting ready down the corridor and it was great to get some shots of them enjoying a game of pool before a chilled morning getting ready for the ceremony.

The Dress Reveal

It came time for the bride to get dressed into her stunning gown from TDR Bridal. There were lots of tears from Dad and excited shrieks from the bridesmaids when they saw her!

An Outdoor Ceremony

The couple had opted for an outdoor ceremony in the rear gardens of the venue. I love this space because I can get creative by photographing through the beautiful flowers and across the sloping lawns.

It was a beautiful sunny day which made for some gorgeous and vibrant ceremony photos as they exchanged their vows.

Afterwards the guests all cheered as they made their way to their reception under a shower of confetti.

Drinks Reception

Making the most of the September sunshine, everyone enjoyed a drinks reception outside on the lawn. We spent a small amount of time getting some group and family photos – we kept this to a minimum to maximise the couple’s time with their guests.

The Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast room looked beautiful with the stunning red floral displays.

We captured lots of candid monents during the speeches and toasts.

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, there was the most wonderful brownie/blondie cake I’ve ever seen. It was made by the bride’s Mum and I’m still contemplating taking her home with me to do all of my baking!

Photos in the Arboretum

September is a fantastic time to get married at Arley House and Gardens. The arboretum is still in full bloom but with a slight turn into autumn, giving wonderful colours and beautiful sunsets. It’s perfect for getting the most amazing wedding photographs!

The First Dance

The couple had their first dance surrounded by their guests, after which their amazing live band entrtained everyone and kept the dancefloor filled!

We finished the night with a pretty special photograph using fairy lights to light up the pergola.
