An Intimate Outdoor Wedding at Hogarths Stone Manor

30/08/2023

Introduction

Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing the intimate outdoor wedding of a delightful couple at Hogarths Stone Manor in Kidderminster. With just 20 family members in attendance, the atmosphere was very relaxed all day with everyone knowing each other so well.

The couple booked me for my minimum three hour option to cover their ceremony and the drinks reception.

The Decorations

The wedding was adorned with tasteful decorations by the talented team at The Wedding House, including a stunning flower arch that served as a backdrop for the ceremony. The outdoor setting has a natural charm that perfectly reflected the couple’s love for the great outdoors.

Thoughtful Florals

One of the most thoughtful details was for the groom’s daughter, Lily, who held a bouquet of lilies – a sweet homage to her name. The delicate florals, in pastel pinks and greens, perfectly complemented the tranquil outdoor setting and added an extra layer of sentiment to the occasion.

It was soon time for the ladies to make their way downstairs to the ceremony.

The Outdoor Ceremony

The groom made his entrance in a cream suit, looking equally excited and nervous! Buttonholes were fixed and ties were straightened, before chatting with the guests.

Soon after, the bride made her way down the steps from the hotel and down the aisle, lovingly watched by her husband to be.

Throughout the ceremony, I discreetly captured the little moments and heartfelt vows shared between the couple. As it was such a small wedding I was careful to keep myself hidden so as not to distract from the ceremony.

The Outdoor Drinks Reception

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests gathered in the gardens to raise a toast to love, laughter, and happily ever after.

The couple had expressed a preference for natural, relaxed photos, so I focused on capturing candid moments of them.

Thank You

To the bride and groom, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day. And to all those planning their own celebrations, remember – it’s not the size of the guest list that matters, but the love that fills the air.
