An April Wedding at Wootton Park
From the moment I arrived at the picturesque Wootton Park on this colourful spring wedding day, I knew this wedding was going to be something special. I love how Wootton Park always have a personalised welcome sign for the couple getting married there that day.
Bridal Preparation in The Hayloft
I walked into the hayloft where the bride was getting ready to a flurry of activity and laughter.
The bride and her bridesmaids wore matching dungarees which I loved! A fun change to pajamas and robes that we often see on wedding mornings.
The bride’s bouquet was a kaleidoscope of colours. It actually became the centerpiece of their bespoke wedding album – check out the photos at the bottom of this post. Alongside this the little touches and details that the couple had picked out were all so beautiful.
As the bride slipped into her gown, surrounded by , the atmosphere was one of sheer delight.
The Groom & Groomsmen
Meanwhile, across the venue, the groom and his entourage were preparing for the ceremony. The groom prep room at Wootton Park is fab, with a pool table, air hockey, and of course a well stocked beer fridge.
The Lakeside Ceremony
The outdoor ceremony was set against the tranquil backdrop of the lake. The flower girls, with their infectious enthusiasm, skipped along ahead, while the bridesmaids, resplendent in pastel green dresses, added an extra touch of charm to the scene.
As the swans gracefully glided by, the couple exchanged vows, surrounded by their families and friends.
Drinks Reception
The celebrations continued with an outdoor drinks reception, complete with live music, giant Jenga, and yummy canapés. I had the pleasure of capturing lots of candid moments as the couple mingled with their guests in the warm spring sunshine.
The Wedding Breakfast
For the wedding breakfast, the couple opted for a long banquet table layout—an unconventional choice that perfectly complemented the rustic charm of the venue. Adorned with lot of colourful flowers, the table was a feast for the eyes, reflecting the couple’s vibrant personalities.
As the couple were announced into the wedding breakfast room and the meal got underway, we enjoyed a short break before returning to photograph the speeches. We lvoe to capture a mix of guest reactions and speakers here for a more storytelling feel.
Couple Photos in the Grounds
As the day turned to evening, I had the opportunity to capture some romantic moments as the couple posed for photos against the backdrop of the Wootton Park estate, surrounded by the spring tulips.
With a touch of creative lighting, we transformed the sky into a dramatic backdrop.
The Evening Celebrations
And as the evening drew to a close, the party kicked into high gear, with dancing, laughter, and plenty of fun to cap off an unforgettable day.

It features a print of the bride’s bouquet on the album box lid and has the vibrant colours form their wedding day lining the book and the inner box.
