Arley House & Gardens Wedding Photographer

we are a recommended wedding supplier to the venue

We are so proud to be a recommended wedding photographer at Arley House & Gardens.

Described on their website as “a modern twist on the luxury country house venue”, it boasts stunning grounds, being part of the Arley Estate including Arley Arboretum.  Add to that rolling countryside views, and a stunningly decorated bright and airy house that’ll make you feel instantly welcome.

A Photographer’s Dream

The first time I photographed there I didn’t want to leave – it’s literally a photographer’s dream and I never run out of new places to take my couples. A highlight for me is the Severn Valley Railway, which runs through the countryside in the arboretum. Oh and getting chased by the chickens (they’re friendly really!), and the beautiful fountain in the Italian Gardens.

The Arboretum

Wedding photographs taken in the Arboretum’s Italian Gardens are an absolute dream come true!

Not only is the scenery absolutely stunning, with its perfectly manicured gardens, amazing fountain and charming walkways, but the natural light there is simply magical. There is also the option to have an outdoor ceremony here.

The Italian Gardens is just the beginning. The arboretum is amazing to explore on your wedding day if you can fit it into your schedule. You’ll have access after hours once it closes to the public, so choose between the landscaped gardens or the more rustic backdrops of the woodland areas.

Getting Ready

Arley has it nailed for both the groom and the bride prep areas, which is surprisingly uncommon with wedding venues.

The bride’s room is super light and airy. It’s perfect for getting hair and makeup just right and having fun with your bridesmaids. There is the loveliest little dressing room just across the corridor so you have some privacy for those pre-ceremony finishing touches. Ooh, and that all important first reveal! The groomsmen get ready in an adjoining room complete with comfy sofas, a pool table and it’s own bar – what more could you want?!

If that’s not enough, you’ll arrive to the most gorgeous fruit platters and yummy bacon sandwiches!

Outdoor Ceremonies

If you’re planning to have an outdoor ceremony on your wedding day, then you’re pretty much spoilt for choice here. Arley do ceremonies very well. You can have the house and the rolling countryside views as your backdrop if you opt to say your wedding vows on the lawns. Otherwise, you can head over to the Italian Gardens within the arboretum and have a stunning waterside ceremony.

Whichever one you choose, the photos are always some of my favourites from all the weddings I photograph each year.

” From the moment we booked Kate and throughout the planning, she was so helpful and friendly. She went above and beyond, especially in the most difficult times during the early stages of the pandemic. On the day, she was professional, friendly and organised – nothing was too much and she will do everything she can to capture all of the moments from your day and specific photos you ask for.”
