Recommended Photographer Still Light Photography
Stanbrook Abbey Hotel in Malvern, Worcestershire is a wedding venue like no other and a dream for any wedding photographer. Situated in a stunning 26-acre estate, the hotel is a former monastery that has been transformed into a luxurious and elegant wedding venue.
As you approach the hotel, you will be greeted by a long, winding driveway that leads up to the impressive stone façade of the abbey. Upon entering the hotel, you will be struck by the grandeur and beauty of the interior, with its soaring ceilings, ornate chandeliers, and rich wood paneling. The hotel boasts several stunning spaces that are perfect for hosting your wedding, each with its own unique character.
We are proud to be one of their carefully selected recommended wedding photographers.
Brides Manor
This place is like a fairytale come to life with its elegant and luxurious décor, high ceilings, and beautiful natural light pouring in through the large windows. From the moment you step foot in this enchanting space, you can just feel the magic in the air!
There are plenty of plush seating areas for you and your bridesmaids to relax and sip champagne while you get your hair and makeup done. My personal favourite is the upstairs bridal lounge – you get the most amazing light from the skylight and the light and airy bedroom is perfect for calming your nerves as you step into your wedding dress.
It’s the perfect place to soak up all the excitement and anticipation of your wedding day in the most magical setting imaginable. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
Groom’s Room
This room is spacious and stylish, with plenty of natural light streaming in from a seriously huge skylight. There are comfy couches and chairs to hang out on while they wait to get suited up, a chess table (which we mostly use for photographs rather than actually playing any serious chess!) and a huge table for you to sit back and relax with a beer before making your way to the ceremony. Plus, it’s right off the amazing cloisters so perfect for nipping out and getting some pre-ceremony corridor photos.
A lot of venues have a great space for the bridal party to get ready, however the groom is often overlooked and has to get ready before arriving, so this place is a great opportunity for the guys to take their time getting ready – because it’s not always all about the bride y’know!
Callow Great Hall
This stunning hall is the perfect setting for a romantic and unforgettable wedding ceremony. The hall is absolutely breathtaking, with its towering ceilings, ornate detailing, and magnificent stained-glass windows that let in a soft and romantic light.
The hand-carved wooden pews are an amazing reminder that this used to be the main chapel of the abbey – you can even see the knee indents made by the nuns when they prayed!
Photographing in here is such a priviledge – I literally never get bored of being in this room. A favourite of mine is taking photographs from the balcony above the altar – it’s an incredible view of the guests watching on whilst the vows are exchanged.

“Our guests loved her, and she was constantly popping off to help find someone, find out what was happening with the day, or fix someone’s corsage for them. Not only is she a wonderful person but the photos – oh wow!! I’m genuinely obsessed, we look so happy and there’s no hint of our awkwardness! She captured the emotions of the day perfectly.”
