Hey there, I'm Kate
Bordesley Park Wedding Venue
From the moment I arrived at Bordesley Park, I felt so relaxed and welcomed. The venue, adorned by The Wedding House, boasted a stunning display of blush pinks and creams, with summer cocktails creating an atmosphere of fun and elegance. Every corner held a thoughtful detail, reflecting the love and personality of the couple.
Bride Prep in the Tudor Barn
The morning of the wedding was a relaxed one as the bride, her mum, and her two bridesmaids prepared for the day ahead. In the Tudor barn, I had the pleasure of getting to know the ladies as they shared stories, had hair and makeup done, and slipped into their dresses.
Groom Prep & Guest Arrival
Meanwhile, on the mezzanine area of the bar, laughter echoed through the space as the groom and his groomsmen enjoyed a game of pool whle they got ready for the ceremony. I already kne the best man, also the groom’s brother, as I have photographed his wedding a couple of years ago, so it was great catching up!
The Ceremony
The indoor ceremony took place beneath the oak beams of the Tudor barn, bathed in summer sunlight streaming through the windows. Bridesmaids entered ahead of the bride in blush pink dresses, followed by the bride herself accompanied by her dad.
The couple exchanged vows and rings and I don’t think either of them stopped grining the whole time!
Drinks Reception
Following the ceremony, guests gathered outside the marquee for a drinks reception filled with summer cocktails and lighthearted moments. The bridesmaids, loving the carefree spirit of the day, had a great time on the trampoline!
Wedding Breakfast in the Marquee
The wedding breakfast and speeches held in the marquee were a blend of heartfelt sentiment and joyful anecdotes. To the surprise of many, including the groom himself, the bride shed tears during his speech, sparking laughter and affectionate teasing among the guests, as she apparently “never” cries!
Couple Photos
As the evening unfolded, I had the privilege of capturing some lovely photos of the newlyweds during romantic couple photos around the picturesque grounds of Bordesley Park. We ventured onto the driveway for a different setting, as well as getting some shots outside the house and against the scenery of the rolling countryside.
Evening Celebrations
The evening culminated in creative photos on the dancefloor, with the couple’s initial light-up letters as a backdrop. As they danced beneath the twinkling lights, surrounded by loved ones, it was lovely to capture the beginning of their married journey.
