Hey there, I'm Kate
September at Brockencote Hall
As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing over 300 gorgeous wedding days, but there are some weddings that stand out as truly special. This colourful and fun filled September wedding at Brockencote Hall in Kidderminster was one such occasion. Great people, an amazing setting and a few surprises thrown in. Some of my absolute favourite images that I’ve ever taken come from this wedding!
Bridal Prep at Home
The festivities began with the bride getting ready at home surrounded by her favourite people. Champagne flowed freely as hair and makeup were expertly done.
The bride’s timeless dress and vibrant flowers, featuring stunning sunflowers and hues of red and yellow, added a touch of elegance to the proceedings. The bridesmaids looked beautiful in teal blue dresses, perfectly complementing the colorful palette of the day.
Arrival at Brockencote Hall
Upon arrival at the venue, I found the groom, who made an entrance worthy of James Bond himself in an Aston Martin. We couldn’t resist capturing some cool shots with the car before the ceremony began.
Meanwhile, the bride arrived in style in a Range Rover, accompanied by her father and bridesmaids.
The Ceremony
The joy on the bride’s face as she walked down the aisle was infectious, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room as she exchanged vows with her husband to be.
One of the highlights of the day was capturing that perfect moment as the newlyweds embraced at the end of the ceremony.
Confetti & Group Photos
The drinks reception that followed was a lively affair, with group photos and a bouquet toss in the picturesque gardens of Brockencote Hall.
The garden steps provided the perfect setting for photos of the bridal party, while romantic shots by the lake captured the intimacy of the couple’s love.
The Meal & Speeches
A traditional three course dinner and speeches followed, and we captured some great moments.
Evening Photos on the Staircase
The bride was keen to get some photographs on the stunning staircase at Brockencote Hall, so shortly before the evening celebrations kicked off, we took her aside for a few minutes.
A Surprise during the First Dance!
As evening fell, the festivities continued with an evening reception complete with a dancefloor and plenty of laughter. The couple and their wedding party surprised their guests with a choreographed dance routine, complete with men in black sunglasses, which had everyone cheering and joining in the fun.
Cue everyone piling onto the dancefloor for the evening – including me! – and some fantastically colourful evening photographs!
