So wow April was a busy month! It kicked off with possibly one of my favourite weddings to date...not that I like to be too biased! The first time I visited Dan and Jo to discuss their wedding back in February last year, we instantly clicked and I knew their day was going to be awesome. They chose the absolutely gorgeous Pershore Abbey for their ceremony followed by a reception at The Wood Norton nearby.
I arrived early at The Wood Norton to meet up with Jo and her bridesmaids for the girly stuff - such a fun-filled morning - and then went across the corridor to meet Dan and the guys while they got ready there too amongst lots of teasing and a few Dad jokes!
The sun shone all day for Dan and Jo which meant there was some beautiful light streaming through the stained glass during the ceremony and brilliant blue skies for their post-ceremony photographs. We kept it pretty chilled out - my favourite kind of wedding - but did throw in a couple of set up off camera flash shots in there too...too hard to resist with such a gorgeous setting inside the Abbey.
Onto The Wood Norton and the wedding breakfast room was decked out amazingly. The bride, groom and their families had made a lot of the decorations themselves, from the cycling themed table plan to a handmade heart decorated with shells found on beaches visited by Jo and Dan. Follow this with some super-tasty food, some of the funniest speeches I've heard in a while (guest reactions were great!), lots of dancing and a line up of the bridesmaids and groomsmen for a shot drinking play-off and there we have it - an absolutely fantastic evening to finish off the most gorgeous day.
Dan and Jo - thanks for having me along for the ride - it was a pleasure being part of your day! Now for the images...
