So, June...halfway through the year and the height of the wedding season.
The wedding of Adam and Shouyi was one that I was particularly looking forward to - the bride being Chinese, I was excited to see the mix of cultures that would be brought into the day at the stunning English Manor that is Ettington Park Hotel.
Since the beginning of this year, I have continued to be blown away by the beautiful places that I have the privilege to work at, and this place was certainly no exception. Being a country girl at heart, the sweeping lawns, exposed stonework and rustic carvings had me in my element and inspiration came by the bucketload.
The one element of this day that really shines through in the photographs, is colour! Lots of colour...Shouyi was keen to bring in a Chinese twist to the otherwise very English venue, so the colour red played a big part, and the oriental decorations and favours in the reception room finished everything off perfectly.
Despite it being a wonderfully sunny day, I did get a little creative down by the old ruin of a chapel that sits in the grounds of the hotel. I couldn't resist getting moody with off camera flash here and we got some fantastic shots! (see the last few slides in the blog)
So here it is...a small selection of the Crickmars' day. A big thanks to both Adam and Shouyi for having me along for the journey :)
